Jaipur: The Pink City

Rajasthan is one of the well known state of Western India and Jaipur is the state capital of Rajasthan which is famous as the “Pink city of India”. The city was founded during 1727 by Jai Singh, the ruler of Amer after whom the city was named. Jaipur is just 280 Km away from the country capital New Delhi. So most of the tourists want to visit Jaipur as the city has most prominent tourist places of India making Golden Triangle with Agra and New Delhi.


As pink is the sign of beauties like wise the city spreads its beauty in Western India. Most foreigners visit this place for making them to be a witness of beauty. It also serves as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu. The Amer region of the city is decorated with most beautiful creation of God i.e. hills and lakes with magnificent forts including Amber Palace, Nahargarh, Jaigarh. Jaipur is a different city altogether with narrow lanes, pink shops, buildings and monuments like Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Amer Fort and the most prominent Jantar Mantar observatory. Hawa Mahal is a five storey pyramidal shaped monument with 953 windows that rises 15 meters from its high base. Except the forts Birla Mandir, Govid Dev Ji Temple, Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple, Sanghji Jain Temple attracts the pilgrimages. Besides all Sisodiya Rani Bagh, Kanan Vrindavan are the most amusement parks of Jaipur.


Last but not the least Jaipur City attracts all the tourists for its colourful bangles, Rajasthani printed sarees, ornaments and specific jewelleries. Jaipur concludes as the most visited place for all tourists and to experience the pinkness of the city for which everyone has to visit the city once.
